Charlotte

This piece is for a up-coming Insect theme show. I try to do a different take on typical insect character design and make the image more human. I am hoping to submit may be 2 - 3 piece of the same theme in different visual design and storytelling style. This is the first piece, I name the piece after one of my all time favorite's spider in children literature - Charlotte ... named after Charlotte's Web. Although she doesn't look like a spider, besides I gave her extra limbs ... but her personality is adapted from Wilbur's dearest friend.

These two sketches are from LA SketchCrawl at the Central Library in downtown LA. There are a few exhibitions there, end up I do more sight seeing and chatting then drawing. LOL

BTW, I am having a group show with at Cactus Gallery, Eagle Rock, CA. The show will be closing on March 7. I have 2 original watercolor pieces at the gallery and is selling them at an unusual low price - $100 or less. Please come and check it out, before closing.
