when i go to the zoo i usually come back with some shoty black and white drawings and the occasional ink image...but you come away from it with really great full color art..

What I like about the top gorilla piece is the way you handled the background - good balance between the grass leaves/brushstrokes on the left and the color/negative space on the right, with a little hint on the right w/ the same grass motif that's on the left.
And all framing the main focus, which is the big hairy guy in the middle. Cool stuff.
I like your water colours paintings. I think they are very expresive.
