IF - "Your paradise"

The Hong Kong during my childhood era will always be one of my paradises - a place where I often visit for inspiration to creativity, tranquility and truth happiness.

More storyboard I developed for Spyro (2006)!! Artworks copyrighted by the studios.

This is a very silly question and please feel free to skip it, but I was wondering how long have stayed over there. It has always been on my Places To Go list before I play chess with the Grim Reaper. Thanks for sharing your paradise. :)

I was reading the latest Spyro storyboard you've produced and I was wondering why some shots extended to a few different thumbnail sketches. I imagined that each shot introduced a new key frame, but that didn't pan out because each thumbnail displayed a different movement from the character. So now I confused myself while sitting down and staring at the monitor.

Thank you all for your visit and kind words.

Shou's
Thank you. I don't quite understand your first question. But will try my best to answet it. :) I spend my childhood and teenage life in Hong Kong ... If you are interested to visit Hong Kong, a week would give enough time to check out different places and even visit some of the little islands or may be cross the board to China.

About Spyro board, the board is plan out for production. I try to provide as much storytelling idea in the boards as possible, especially when there is acting involved. This particular cinematic is dialogu heavy, and characters' acting are very important. So I draw extra panels to narrate the acting ... kind of like layout the "keyframe" of an animation sequence.

Great drawings and storyboards. I miss Hong Kong myself. My grandma use to live there and I've visit her a few times there. Totally missed the food and shopping there. By the way, thanx posting on my blog. Keep making good work.

Thank you everyone. :)

Studio lolo,
Thank you. HE ! HE!! I didn't really think about it very much when I draw the little girl, but subconsciously I think I am drawing myself as a kid. I love noodle ... and I did use to have pig tails and the clothes she is wearing is based on my elementary school uniform. :P

I loved Hong Kong! I loved having the best Chinese food on earth, the amazing shopping, the night life (great pubs!), and the night market - wow, the night market - where else can you find opera clubs singing, lanterns and kites and live animal oddities (for cooking) and fun street food! Nice paradise you've got there, Alina. :)

Love the Spyro storyboard. The whole game was awesome - except for maybe David Spade. :)
