The purple dragon?! Cinema Blog up-dated!!
My pals often ask me, "What exactly do you do at work?!" Well ... mostly I animate, but during pre-production, I often involve in concept and storyboard development. Below is the opening cinematic storyboard of Spyro: A New Begining (2006), which I worked on last year. This is drawn in Photoshop. I also up-date the Cinema blog with collection of my animations from Spyro. For blogging convenience, I take out the film script and put all the panels in one page in a thumbnail format. Hope you enjoy it, and have a wonderful weekends!

Thank you. Stay warm in France. Spyro: A New Begining is already out in the store. :) That's why I can release these production artworks. :) I think it comes in PS2, Ninetendo, and xBox. :P

When you submit a portfolio would you include a leica reel or would you layout it out like this with many panels on one page and hold it for a few seconds so they can read it on the demo reel?

THank you for visiting. WHen you submit a storyboard portfolio, you should submit in formal storyboard format with script and camera instruction, and an animatic reel would be cool. The reason I post my storyboard in a thumbnail format is just for on-line blogging convenience, so I take out all the scripts. But this wouldn't be a good format for a portfolio submission.

I work with Technicolor, which we work with Krome. :) They outsource the per-render cinematic to us. :)
