This is the main female character in the film, Electron.
Some people have been asking me about the film, since my last posting. Here are some fun facts about the film:
- The film is released in 2001, and received an Student Emmy during that year. It's my last student film, and also my graduate thesis.
- It took 2 years to complete from script to screen. I animate, direct and produce the film. Total drawings count of the film is about 4 giant paper box ... If I didn't get the math wrong, it's about 17,000 drawings - that's included the rough, and the clean up.
- It's inked traditionally on paper; painted in Photoshop; and composited in After Effect.

17.000!!! I can not believe this! I am interested in animation but I think it will not easy for me to learn..You wrote about traditional way of working. (ink and paper) I think people are now doing everything with computer . But according to me this kind of work is priceless...:)

Alina...you are definitely a "monster"...a "drawing monster" ! Mucho kudos for accomplishing this film and sticking with it. This the inspiration us indie animator love to see and read about. It gives us that extra "umph" to keep the creative juices rock'in.
